How I Raise 100% Support
When I started ministering with The Navigators more than 50 years ago, I struggled raising personal support. As I served on college campuses, and later on City, leadership, and Advancement teams, God gave me a heart to empower other gospel workers in biblical fundraising.
Over the next twelve months, I’ll be posting three-minute snippets that share what I’ve done over many years (and still do) to reach 100% funding. Each post will include a simple testimony or story with a humorous, relatable Stayskal cartoon.
I Major on Face-to-Face Appeals
Face-to-face fundraising takes time — but with a 70–80% yes-rate and relationships that last, it's worth every minute. Appeal letters get 5–10%. Emails? 1–3%. As the Apostle John put it, some things are just better said in person. Sometimes you have to go talk to the guy.
