WHAT HE'S LEARNING IN STM

Support Team Ministry is not only about the money. It is the special opportunity that God gives us, both me and the potential donors. On a face-to-face, we talk, share, give a testimony and pray. These create a heartwarming, encouraging and special relationship.

I have heard many spiritual journeys they have gone through. Sometimes these are painful and hurt such as divorce and family issue. If I had not had a face-to-face appeal with them, I would never heard their stories and I now how a closer relationship with them.

I believe there is a certain blessing that we could experience only through the STM.

WHAT KEEPS HIM GOING IN STM

Even if I get a "No", our relationship changes. It develops in a positive way. Because we share our spiritual journey and the passion in Jesus Christ together. This is the power of the Holy Spirit! "Yes" would be great, "No for now" is also good. Let's go out to see some more friends!

A FAILURE IN STM

Once I had a face-to-face appeal with my friend before the Sunday service. We met 90 minutes before the service at Starbucks, near my church. But she loves chatting and we had to end our time before I could go into the invitation to join my support team. This is my lesson, "Have STM after the service", especially with the ladies!

LIFE VERSE

"But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." Philippians 3:20

WHAT HE IS READING

"Spirituality of Fundraising" By Henri Nouwen

It says "Fundraising is a very rich and beautiful activity. It is confident, joyful, and hope-filled expression of ministry."

People want to join with God's work, and we need those who supports this ministry. We two are united, this is fundraising. This bond, community and communion shows God's Kingdom in this world. He supports me. I also support him. This is the beginning of a long community in Jesus Christ.

This book challenged me to have a new bright prospect towards fundraising.
