HOW DO YOU KEEP FROM FEELING LIKE "BEGGARS" AS YOU RAISE SUPPORT?

To remain focused and to keep sharing our vision and not our needs. One thing we are trying to do faithfully - by God's grace - is to keep in touch with our financial partners, thanking them for their support and asking them to shar their prayer needs. With those who share requests, we follow-up from time to time to find out if they have received answers. We have noted that when we do this, partners feel cared for and they give faithfully.

WHAT KEEPS THEM GOING IN MPD?

We go back to the drawing board and remind the Lord that He called us and that we are His servants obeying His call. We also check on our financial partners' list to see who we haven't talked to or what we haven't done. Then by faith we do our part and we believe that God will give us results. Indeed, He has come through with new partners.

LIFE VERSE

1 Corinthians 9:14 is one of our favorite verses in MPD: "So also the Lord directed those who proclaim the gospel to get their living from the gospel."

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?

Zach: I love swimming, jogging, walking, playing the guitar and singing.

Zenny: Travelling alone and with family.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY TO THOSE CONSIDERING FULL-TIME SERVICE?

Be sure the Lord is calling you and do not make and emotional career decision without a basis. Once you are sure that God is calling, you need to trust that the Lord will take care of your needs. However, you also need to know that you have a role to play in funding your ministry and that it is hard work! But the Lord rewards the hard work when faith in Him is exercised. You need to understand that in raising support, partnership with the Lord is inevitable. God does His part as you do yours.
